You have two options to activate your SIM card:
- Inform us prematurely about your desired activation date at www.sim-ticket.de or
- Inform us simply by email or by telephone about the desired activation date.
At the day of the activation we inform you then via email and communicate to you your telephone number.
Within this activation Data service is automatically enabled free of charge.
Calls are charged at 60 seconds increments.

Account and Credit Validity:
- Initial 10 units credit valid for first 30 days after activation.
- Account Validity: Initial account validity is 1 year starting with the first call. The SIM card will be deactivated if the first call is not made within 6 months from the date of activation.
- Renewal Fee: The renewal fee is 39 units per year and will be deducted automatically.
- If balance is too low for this automatic renewal deduction, no more calls can be made and the grace period begins in which balance can be toped up and thus to avoid deactivation of SIM card and phone no. Detailed rules and periods you’ll find in the pdf documents section.
- Dormancy fee: Customers are advised to initiate a call from their Prepaid SIM cards if they have not done any activity for 12 months so that it can be established that these accounts are in an active status. If no outgoing call is generated by these SIM cards within 12 months then Thuraya will start charging these accounts a monthly dormancy fee of 19 units. The fee will be deducted from the recent balance. If not enough balance is left the SIM cards will be deactivated.
With successful activation, the SIM card is considered to be put into use.
